Student Information
George College has one academic session every calendar year. Applications for admission are accepted in the office of the college from the first working day after the publication of results by the state board of higher secondary education. Each academic year is divided into the Spring Semester and the Autumn Semester. The college functions as a centre of professional education. Classes are held on all days except weekly holidays, study leaves, examinations, notified holidays and unforeseen closures.

All students are required to abide by the Rules & Regulations of George College as laid down by the college authorities, a copy of which will be issued to each student at the time of admission.
Random extracts are given below to provide some basic information on the standards students are expected to maintain ----
1. All students are required to comply with the dress code within the campus of the college at all times. The existing dress code may be obtained from the college office. The college authorities reserve the right to change the dress code at their sole discretion.

2. All students are required to carry the college Identity Card within the campus of the college at all times. The Identity Card is issued from the college office at the time of admission.

3. All students will be required to maintain a minimum attendance of 75% in each semester. An attendance record of less than the minimum requirement will disqualify the student from the end semester examination.

4. All students are required to conform to a high standard of courtesy, sobriety, discipline and morality. Any form of misbehaviour with faculty, staff or fellow students will not be tolerated. ‘Ragging’ or physical/mental tormenting of fellow students will attract severe disciplinary action.

5. All notices issued by the authorities of the college require mandatory reading and strict obedience.

*  Failure to comply with the Rules & Regulations of the college will lead to disciplinary action such as warnings, fines, suspension from college or even to expulsion from college. In all disciplinary matters the decision of the Administrator will be final and binding.
